MLB: Nick Castellanos Ties Historic Phillies Record with Another Heroic Walk-Off

Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Nick Castellanos was the hero during his team’s victory over the Atlanta Braves on Sunday in MLB. Castellanos tied a franchise record by notching his fourth walk-off of the season.

Nick Castellanos now has 4 walk-offs with RBIs so far this season, matching the record for the most by a Phillies player in a single season since RBIs were officially recorded in 1920. Here is a list of other Philadelphia sluggers who have also achieved this:

Nick Castellanos drove in the winning run with a single in the 11th inning, and the Philadelphia bullpen threw five scoreless innings in relief of Aaron Nola to lead the Phillies to a 3-2 victory over the Atlanta Braves on Sunday night. It was the final regular-season matchup between the two top teams in the National League East.

Castellanos provided all the offense for the Phillies, helping them win three of the four games in the series and extend their division lead to seven games. He tied the game in the sixth with a two-run double off starter Spencer Schwellenbach and then ended the game with a two-out single against Grant Holmes.
